 You'll find your treasures here. Lots of stuff, from days past (yesterday included). Dig around the stalls, venture into the shops. Need a Cultural Revolution poster, clock, ceramic statue? How about an old Shanghai cigarette poster? Boxes from Tibet? Lockettes to keep your loved ones safe from the evil spirits?
It looks like the area is under renovation, so get there while you can. We dread the day when the street vendors move indoors, under fluorescent lights. Even if you don't buy, Dongtai Road is worth a visit. If you do buy, bargain, bargain, bargain. Attitude works!
